Across the country, union activists are promoting the National Day of Action on May 14 and getting postcards signed that say, “I Stand with Postal Workers.”
In Washington, DC, APWU officers distributed flyers and got postcards signed outside the Martin Luther King Jr. Post Office at 14th and L Streets in Washington, DC, on Monday, May 11.
President Mark Dimondstein, Executive Vice President Debby Szeredy and Secretary-Treasurer Liz Powell were among those who greeted customers, handed out flyers, and asked postal patrons to sign postcards, which will be sent to Postmaster General Megan Brennan.
Customers were happy to oblige. Several people who had walked by came back after reading the flyer and signed postcards. Click here to sign online.
