The APWU will participate in the One Nation March on Saturday, Oct. 2, to strengthen the fight for good jobs and re-commit to change in America. The union will join other labor organizations and thousands of activists in Washington, DC, to help “Put America Back to Work and Pull America Back Together.”

APWU members are encouraged to attend the event, which will be held on the National Mall in the nation’s capital from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The union will have two tables set up on the north side of the Reflecting Pool, close to the corner of Constitution Ave. NW and 17th Street NW.

The APWU and the AFL-CIO are part of the One Nation Coalition, which is made up of more than 150 national, local, and state organizations dedicated to reform in America by “refocusing the nation’s priorities and investing in all our people.” Many of these organizations are the allies the union will need in the fight to Save Saturday Service — and our jobs.

Members interested in participating should contact Roosevelt Stewart in the national Secretary-Treasurer’s office at 202-842-4215, or by e-mail to rstewart@apwu.org. Hats will be distributed to all APWU attendees, who are encouraged to wear their APWU gear.
