Creating Desirable Duty Assignments

Clerk Division officers have scheduled a training session on Creating Desirable Duty Assignments using the Scheduler program. The webinar will be held on Nov. 1, 2011, at 12 p.m. Eastern Time, and will last approximately two hours.

Prior to the webinar, participants will be responsible for reviewing a PowerPoint presentation, which provides specific details of the steps involved in using the Scheduler, the definition of acronyms used with the program, and the specific documents needed.

The information will help locals develop the evidence needed for the Administrative Dispute Resolution Process — even if management has already posted Non-Traditional Full-Time (NTFT) schedules.

Before the training session, local presidents should visit the Members Only section of the APWU Web site and download a copy of the updated version of the Scheduler program to get familiar with it. Please download the information in the ‘My Documents’ folder on your computer before using. The updated version of the Scheduler program will be used during the presentation.

The webinar training is designed to demonstrate how to input Function 1 [Slideshow] and Function 4 [slideshow] data into the Scheduler program. Questions regarding the Scheduler toolkit should be submitted prior to Oct. 31, 2011, so that answer can be provided at the end of the sessions.
