Have You Seen the Video?

The launch of A Grand Alliance to Save Our Public Postal Service featured the debut of a 2-minute video, “Our Postal Service,” featuring actor-activist Danny Glover.
For Glover, it’s personal. In the video, he recounts what the Postal Service has meant to his family and many others.
He ends the video by calling on all those who care about maintaining a vibrant, public Postal Service to join him in A Grand Alliance to Save Our Public Postal Service, calling it “A Public Trust, A National Treasure.”
At the 22nd APWU National Convention last July, Glover gave an impassioned speech declaring that he would be part of the fight to keep the Postal Service in the hands of the people. He told the delegates, “I’m in!”
And in he is. In addition to recording the video, Glover gave brief remarks at the opening session of contract negotiations and participated in a pre-negotiations rally the night before. (See pages 6-7).
