The question in this grievance is whether the grievant's Leave Without Pay (LWOP) for PP 7-72 was properly recorded. Our respective case files indicate that the grievant is an appointed official of the local APWU. During PP 7-82, the grievant was granted approximately 11 hours of LWOP to attend to local union obligations. The grievant's LWOP was not coded under PSDS Code 28, Leave Without Pay - Union Official's Leave. It is our mutual understanding that under the circumstances present in this case, the grievant was entitled to LWOP - Union Official's Leave. Therefore, we agreed to remand this case to the regional level to determine the amount of improperly coded LWOP and to adjust the grievant's leave records.
