The issue in this grievance is regarding the requirement to train employees on the same tour that they will be assigned after completion of the training. Training of an MPLSM operator workforce is held on the same tour that employees will be assigned after completion of the training only as it applies to a new MPLSM installation, or expansion of an MPLSM installation as set forth in Handbook P-24, Section 160. It is mutually agreed that the instant matter does not coincide with the aforementioned application since the subject employees are being trained for incoming machine distribution not related to a new MPLSM installation nor expansion of an MPLSM installation.
