This is in reply to your correspondence of November 1 concerning development of Flat Sorter Edit Guidelines in St. Louis, Missouri. As you were verbally informed at the November 1 meeting with Harvey White and Harry McCulloch, there is no authorization from U.S. Postal Service Headquarters for installations to perform EDITS on the flat sorter, nor the small parcel and bundle sorter. The situation is being addressed.
