The issue in this case is whether management was proper in conducting an EASE check on the grievant. While the facts in this case are in dispute, we mutually agreed to settle this case with the following understandings:
EASE is a quick check conducted by management to monitor the mail sent to certain high error bins on the MPLSM. This is a quick method of locating potential console, machine or personnel problems. These EASE checks will not be used to measure individual operator proficiency but they may lead to special EDIT's being taken in accordance with Section 223.b of the M-16 Handbook.
