The issue in this case is whether the grievant was properly selected for an EDIT. The facts in this case indicate that the grievant was selected for the disputed EDIT by use of a randomized crew listing and the Random MPLSM Operator Numbers table. The crew listing was prepared by listing all MPLSM clerks who were working overtime on the day in question. Numbers were assigned and EDITS were
given in accordance with Section 220 of the M-16 (EDIT Handbook). It is our position that since the clerks on duty were from several different MPLSM crews, the lists prepared on an accounting period basis could not he used. The method used to establish the disputed list was fair, equitable and in compliance with the intent of Section 210 of the M-16 (EDIT Handbook). Based upon the foregoing consideration, this grievance is denied.
