During our discussion, we concluded that at issue in this grievance is whether the preparation of Forms 3579 is part of the regular duties of the level 4 Computer System Forwarding Clerk or is level 5 work. After reviewing the information provided, it is our position it is our position that the preparation of Forms 3579 is within the scope of Computer Markup Unit duties that can be performed by level 4 Computer System Forwarding Clerks. The sole performance of this collateral duty is not justification for classification as a level 5 clerk or for compensation at the level 5 rate. Thus, management believes no violation of the National Agreement has occurred, and this grievance is therefore denied.
