The issue in this grievance is whether the grievants were properly compensated for work performed in regard to stamp vending machines in the local office. After further review of the matter, we mutually agreed that there was no national interpretive issue fairly presented as to the meaning and intent of Article 25 of the National Agreement. The determination of whether the work performed was level 5 or level 6 work is suitable for regional determination by application of the standard position descriptions SP2-629 (Distribution, Window and Markup Clerk, LV-5) and SP2-433 (Self-Service Postal Unit Technician, LV-6). Accordingly, as we further agreed, this case is hereby remanded to Step 3 for further development and consideration if necessary by the parties.
