The question in the grievances is whether local management violated Article 25 of the National Agreement by not assigning PTF employees to LSM duties in order of seniority. There was no evidence in the grievance file that a contractual violation occurred. The assignments were for less than five days. According to local management, on each occasion, senior PTF employees were given their choice of working on the LSM or on manual distribution. Finally, there is no contractual requirement to apply seniority in making assignments under the circumstances described in these cases. Having found no contractual violation, the grievances are denied.
