The question in this grievance is whether management violated Article 26 of the National Agreement by not permitting mechanics and garagemen to wear jeans or any other proper work clothes. It is the position of the Postal Service that the employees involved can wear garments that are made to USPS specifications and can be purchased from an authorized vendor. Not permitting the wearing of jeans is not found to be in violation of the contract. Accordingly, the grievance is denied.
