The question in this grievance is whether or not management violated Article 33 of the National Agreement by not selecting the grievant for a MPS Mechanic position. A review of the information provided did not establish that a contractual violation occurred in this case. The grievant was evaluated for the position by a review board. The review board found that he did not meet the basic qualifications for the position and did not recommend him for the position. Inasmuch as he was not qualified for the position, his non-selection was proper. Accordingly, the grievance is denied.
