This Step 4 Settlement Agreement involved whether management properly included a typing requirement for the position in question. After reviewing this matter, the parties mutually agreed that whether the typing requirement was necessary, was a local dispute suitable for regional determination by application of Article 37.3.F.6 of the National Agreement to the fact circumstances. The parties at this level agreed that where incidental typing is required as part of a duty assignment, such requirement must be reasonably related to the efficient performance of the responsibilities of the job.
