This USPS Step 4 Denial outlines Management's position on whether employees are entitled to an additional forty-five (45) day grace period after bidding from one MPLSM assignment to another.  The facts in this case indicate that an employee was hired as a MPLSM clerk and received the proper training for the position.  It was the decision of the Postal Service that in this specific case, the employee was not entitled to an additional grace period in order to adjust to live mail conditions.  The employee had received previous training and was completely proficient in regard to performing the duties required on the outgoing machine.  Based upon the above considerations, this grievance was denied.
