Anti-Subcontracting Measure Attracting Support

Several more “co-sponsors” have signed on to show their support for the Mail Network Protection Act (H.R. 4236), which would require the Postal Service to bargain with postal unions before it engages in significant subcontracting.

In February, these House members (all Democrats) became co-sponsors of H.R. 4236: Michael Arcuri (NY), Michael Capuano (MA), Jerry Costello (IL), Elijah Cummings (MD), William Delahunt (MA), Joe Donnelly (IN), Barney Frank (MA), Paul Hodes (NH), Tim Holden (PA), Hank Johnson (GA), Dennis Kucinich (OH), David Loebsack (IA), Carolyn McCarthy (NY), Jim McDermott (WA), Richard Neal (MA), Albio Sires (NJ), Hilda Solis (CA), and Lynn Woolsey (CA).

The legislation was introduced in the House by Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) on Nov. 15. By the end of January, the following representatives — Democrats, except where noted — had signed up as co-sponsors of the anti-subcontracting measure:
