Time is running short for union members to vote in the APWU National Officers election. Ballots were mailed Sept. 13, and must be returned to and received in the designated post office box by 2 p.m. on Oct. 5.

Less than two weeks before the deadline, 25,851 ballots have been received.

Votes will be counted at the Madison Hotel, 1177 15th St. NW, Washington, DC. Preliminary results will appear on www.apwu.org as they become available and will be updated frequently. Official tallies will be published in the November/December issue of The American Postal Worker.

Members in good standing as of June 15, 2010, who have not received a ballot should notify their local, or contact the American Arbitration Association between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. (EDT) at 800-529-5218 to request a duplicate. Ballots may also be requested by e-mail to apwu@adr.org.

When requesting a duplicate ballot, members must provide their name and the last four digits of their Social Security number, along with their local, craft, mailing address, and telephone number.
