'UNI' Leader Visits APWU

The leader of an international union federation met with APWU President William Burrus on June 25, 2007, as part of a visit to the United States.

Philip Jennings, general-secretary of the Switzerland-based Union Network International (UNI), and Burrus discussed how the labor movement should respond to globalization, the trend by corporations and businesses to expand around the globe.

UNI’s mission is to represent the common interests of the labor movement throughout the world.
